Golden Week

There's a string of national holidays this time of year. By taking just a few strategic days of nenkyu you can have a blissful week and a half of time off. Of course, since everyone takes advantage of these national holidays prices are inflated at hotels and travel destinations. Banking hours can be rather hit or miss, too.

I did have some fun plans for my week of holidays, but have had to postpone most of them due to exhaustion from (over)work and a nagging head-throat-chest infection that just won't let up. Still, having unlimited time to spend with Olive has been wonderful, even if it's just been doing unexciting stuff around town.
